Hollister & Brace law firm. He received his A.B. degree in economics from the University of California Berkeley in 1963. He graduated from UCLA Law School in 1966, where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the UCLA Law Review. He served as an attorney assistant to Alfred T. Goodwin, Oregon Supreme Court from 1966 to 1967.
Mr. Poucher has an extensive business and transactional practice representing corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He has represented clients in many complex contract negotiations and transactions such as acquisitions, mergers and reorganizations. He has had practical business experience, serving as president of the corporation operating the Miramar Hotel for more than a year.
Mr. Poucher has handled numerous real estate related matters. He has negotiated and documented complex real estate transactions, including loan transactions.
Mr. Poucher is very experienced in complex litigation related to business transactions and real estate matters. He has tried a number of cases to decision in the Santa Barbara Superior Court and elsewhere.
Mr. Poucher is active with local nonprofits, having served as president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and as a founder of the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum. He currently serves as a co-trustee of a charitable foundation known as the Outhwaite Charitable Trust.
Mr. Poucher holds an “AV” rating from Martindale Hubbell, Inc., its highest rating awarded to attorneys.
